I want to get on with it already. Waited 4 long years for revenge. Lets light this candle. I remember I had a health scare once. Dr thought I was fine but recommended a test to be sure. Intellectually I knew I was most likely fine but the waiting game was brutal. I turned out to be no problem. I expect my relief and jubilation when Biden wins will be similar. I am very encouraged by the polls and turnout so far. Everyone is so on edge, complacency is one thing I doubt we have to worry about.

I just want it to be over. We have waited SO friggin long.
And ironically, we have Trump to thank the most. If he had handled the pandemic well, and hadn't been such an insane putz wrt to russia, racism, woman, the law, the constitution, taxes, you name it - he would be cleaning our clocks and gloating the whole way.
But being a cartoonish buffoon has made dumping him possible.
Thanks trump!

(2,495 posts)Once was a call back for a mammogram - I was planning my funeral.
Another when they found ground glass opacities and scars in my lungs as an incidental finding from another test. It seemed like an eternity until I saw a pulmonologist who told me they might be slow growing carcinomas - so I get scanned every six months.
This election is even more anxiety producing than that.

(41,131 posts)When younger I thought waiting for test scores, grades and the news of passing my grad school comprehensive were bad; then you go thru worse, waiting for health tests news for yourself or close ones; and now this suspense, a real test!

Terrific analogy.
