sounds respectable in public but don't mean it, and all know today's Republican Party steals whatever elections it needs to and can as SOP.

Fwiw, most of them truly believe that their principled-sounding goals and their need to save their nation from us justify subverting democracy, even if necessary killing it off. Appallingly deluded, but they bring to mind those on the left who felt exactly the same when it was their leader so shockingly promising to overset the will of the majority for them. No difference.
