The appeal in the Fifth Circuit of Judge Hanens decision has now been docketed. I expect the Court to act tonight. Maybe in the AM, but tonight more likely.

As John Roberts pointedly noted (as a shot across the bow of Trump, in my opinion), courts don't determine election rules, state legislatures do.

(6,139 posts)emergency appeal cannot be ruled without chief justice Robert, right? If so, I am somewhat confident he will uphold the ruling.

(54,770 posts)Its one thing if trumpsters think ballots were fraudulent, but sitting in your car at a legal polling place rather than standing in line in a pandemic aint fraud.
