Midnight voting in 2 towns- bigger picture of a tiny snapshot

Dixville Notch - 5 votes Biden, 0 Trump

In 2016 they went -

Hillary Clinton – 4
Donald Trump – 2
Gary Johnson – 1
Mitt Romney – 1

Indicating 20% of the remaining town flipped this year to vote for Biden over Trump or third party

Further, 4 of the 5 votes for the incumbent Republican governor indicating these are not strict party line voters.

Millsfield- Trump 16, Biden 5

On first glance this is bad news but more insight shows in 2016 they went Trump 16, Clinton 4, Bernie Sanders (write in) 1- indicating either an unwillingness to play games with write ins this year or a genuine preference of Biden over Clinton, either of which bodes well.

Obviously these tiny elections don’t mean much in the big picture but they do paint an optimistic trend if other voting districts reflect similar trends in favor of Biden.
