No practice today. College football players given the day off to vote.

NCAA football players, basketball players, and other athletes participating in fall sports have today off so they can vote. Some coaches have embraced it, while others are not happy campers.

Down here in the deep south, Clemson coach Dabo Swinney doesn’t like it because he has a big game with Notre Dame this Saturday. Auburn coach Gus Malzahn not only embraced it, he even used athletic facilities to help his football players get registered to vote. Georgia Tech assistant coach Eric Reveno was the guy who came up with the idea, and the NCAA liked it so much they made it a rule that on Tuesday, November 3 there would be no athletic activities.

Over 70% of the ACC and SEC football and basketball players are African American, so there are a few more votes for Dems.

They don't have games this Saturday like Clemson, who also won't have QB Trevor Lawrence, due to Covid-19.
