They're pretty fucking nuts. I've not a clue how to break into their cult mentality.

fuck rural voters. Their vote counts more than mine thanks to our antiquated system. Maybe I'll care about them when that isn't the case.

Ignoring them isn't the way to go. It's a hard path to go and it will take years to deprogram them. But if we can show actual result to them, they will come back. Telling them to go to college for the green job isn't going to do it. You have to actually bring the jobs in.

they will be flocking to big cities for their health care. In fact, many may be moving to the cities when their farms move into bankruptcy.

They are clinging to a life that is changing.

Always has been. I can count a dozen fellow Teamsters at my job who refused to vote for Biden because of his gun control proposals.

But they get scared of socialism easily.

So Democrats have to really fight that.

Screw them!

Short of burning crosses and mass-deporting all non-white immigrants, I don't see anyway we could ever possibly appeal to theese drool-dripping, cow-tipping, spray-cheese-eating Cro-Magnons.

what else can we do to "appeal to them?"

Run a Republican?

I think the problem is we are not meeting what we need to do with people of color.

Our next candidate needs to be a person of color.

It's the culture war thing. We are not bound by fundamentalist religion, by hidebound boxed-in thinking. They see this as THREATENING.

And they have zero compunction to meet anybody halfway. We're in the bind of doing all of the reaching out and accomodating, which they reject anyway.

Ballots being thrown out, long lines, and trash voting machines are important tools being used against us. Where would we begin to compromise with folk who support a person such as tRump? What are the things about him and his agenda in which we could adopt to get/win their favor?
No, I'm more interested in expanding the souls to the polls efforts, advocating for automatic voter registration, and appealing to those who find common cause with the democratic platform, but whom do not seem to believe in the benefits of voting.
Anyways, lots of mail in ballots to count in all states. I've linked a few articles talking about the issues, from my perspective. Stay up, mtnsnake.

For example, I live in San Antonio. All of the surrounding rural Trump idiots come HERE when their small, rural hospitals can’t treat them. They take up OUR hospital beds. Their COVID patients are brought here at the same time they are preaching that COVID doesn’t exist.

I think they need to be self-reliant and stop depending on urban areas for health care, education, etc.
