We might get to 50/50 in the Senate with Harris breaking the tie, but that won't be enough to kill the filibuster - let alone pass a court-adjusting bill in both houses.

(26,783 posts)There isn't unanimity in the caucus in the Senate. We might not even have a large enough majority in the House to pass a "court-packing" bill.

(25,509 posts)What do you suggest if we don't win the Senate? Our only option is to deal with it as best we can and ensure that we gain seats in 2022.

It's looking like Trump is outperforming the polling again. The thing that perhaps intrigues me most is that Trump is expanding his lead even more in some of these rural areas, even as he has lost a little ground in the suburban areas. I really do hope the Democratic Party is considering ballot security as a potential area for election fraud in these rural areas. Where you have Sheriff's Departments run by 3%rs in some of these areas, its something I worry about.
