There are TENS of millions of votes still outstanding, and I trust what they decided to do.

Superb campaign, President Joe and Vice-President Kamala!

Strategic & flawless.

They will have this win & they will take the Oath in Jan 2021.

We could not have chosen two better equipped candidates to take on the dark & sinister force that is the trump criminal orgaization.

We'll put up or best Democrat to defeat him.

His popularity among Republicans has plummeted due to the mask orders and hesitance to reopen bars, they wanted to let ‘er rip (as if being the state with the highest number of cases wasn’t good enough). If he loses renomination to a wing-nut like Dan Patrick there’s a good chance for a competent Dem to win. If it can happen in more conservative states like Kansas and Kentucky it can certainly happen here.

Having said that, I say we go for the lower hanging fruits of Patrick and especially the felon Paxton. Winning the Lt. Governor’s spot would gum up the agenda the Republican base wants. Strauss fell on his sword in 2017 to keep Patrick’s bathroom bill from seeing the light of day.

Sorry not sorry. We have been hearing this crap "We are THISCLOSE in Texas" that for the LAST FOUR Campaign Cycles have turned to S**t.

Pick another freaking state to target. Get Ohio Back. Hell, try Iowa as Barack Obama won that state TWICE. Seriously, F**K Texas. ENOUGH!!!

Maybe it’s like me playing Charlie Brown to other Texans holding the football and playing Lucy, but I will give to statewide Texas Democrats. In hope that enough of us will finally wise up. I’d thought that we’d finally gotten over shaking in our underwear at the “specter” of “socialism,” but it looks like a lot of Anglos aren’t over it yet.

I don’t know about the next Texas US Senate race, but Abbott and Patrick stand for re-election in two years and they’ll look more tarnished after the next economic downturn.

The numbers have consistantly shown this weakening of the GOP, & we will not stop till we are again a Blue State.

I agree with BETO.
The Tx political system has been deeply corrupted for many years.
Since GHWBush I believe. And oil of course.

Same reason that turned Blue North Dakota a deep corrupt Red today.

...that Florida is Lucy with the football. Every bloody election cycle, we have hopes of flipping it (either national or state offices, depending on the year), and, every bloody election cycle, we get the same result. As I noted earlier, Florida always seems to turn "narrow Democratic poll leads" into narrow Republican electoral wins, and "too-close-to-call poll pronouncements" to comfortable Republican electoral wins. It' happened practically every election cycle since the infamous "hanging chads." Personally, I think the only reason to put any more effort into Florida than, say Oklahoma or North Dakota, is if we find ourselves in the dire situation where we have to win it or fail overall.

It has taken a hit since Obama and if unchecked could complicate demographic trends in not only TX and FL but also AZ and perhaps even NM longer term. Republicans have found a soft authoritarian, pro-gun, anti-“socialist” underbelly and will exploit it ruthlessly, that’s what they do. This is a long term trend that could potentially cause a political realignment in the south/southwest US and needs to be nipped in the bud.
