Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) late Tuesday ripped pollsters who predicted that he would be ousted from his seat as well as Democratic donors, while thanking President Trump's base for helping him win reelection.
"I've had two calls already - one from President Trump. He's going to win. He's going to win," Graham said. "To all the pollsters out there, you have no idea what you're doing. And to all the liberals in California and New York, you're wasting a whole lot of money."
Graham called donations to his Democratic challenger, Jamie Harrison, "the worst return on investment in the history of American politics."

Graham defeated Harrison in a tightly contested Senate race, which this year became the most expensive in the history of the upper chamber.

(34,661 posts)now South Carolina is in play for 2022. Arizona is a example of how investing in a Campaign may not pay today but two years away, you got a mega winner. Same here in Nevada,we lost to a mega funded GOPer with a Good Candidate, but we kicked Heller's ass to the curb two years later. All about spending the time and resources to educate a reluctant Populace.

(82,849 posts)Isn't it their money to waste, Senator? Or are you going to introduce legislation that limits the amount of campaign contributions wealthy people can make to the candidates of their choice? Perhaps you've forgotten how, exactly, we got the present rules for the game, when Republicans thought they would attract all the big money forever? It looks like the fatcats on the Republican side similarly wasted a whole lot of money trying to oust a first term member of Congress from the 14th Congressional District of New York. Boo hoo, Lindsey.

(1,406 posts)the world just what kind of hypocritical lightweight Lindsey is.
Lindsey is a horrible person just like Trump. Jamie has nothing to be ashamed of. He fought a noble battle and exposed some sides of Lindsey that make most decent people want to puke. SC reelected him, they deserve him.
