(18,486 posts)He's usually wrong. He's not a soothsayer. There are only two outcomes. Every year, he picks the same one - the Democrats are going to lose. Sometimes he's right. Usually, he's wrong.
In other words, he's just about as reliable a prognosticator as a coin toss. I don't know why anyone pays attention to him.

(29,149 posts)that it was closer than the polls were showing and closer than the media discussion would have you believe. That's what Michael Moore said on Brian Williams and that's what the texts and social media posts from Biden and Harris kept telling me.
People here were quick to pooh-pooh the idea, but it was clearly true.
Moore's message and the Biden/Harris message shared another point of overlap: get to the polls and get your friends to the polls and we'll be able to pull this out.
And that was true too.

(4,131 posts)I dont always agree with his choices but hes got his finger on the pulse of whats really happening with voters and turnout and what messages are resonating (and which ones arent).

(145,827 posts)I find this person to be very weak and wrong on almost every thing. This person supported Nader. That disqualifies this person as a source. Again I cannot stand this person and change the channel when this person is on.

(145,827 posts)Again, I do not understand why anyone thinks that this "person" is credible. I have not found this "person" to be right about anything including his clami that it was a good move to support Nader.

(3,634 posts)Referring to another human being as if they are not human, or as an animal or inanimate object, is the rhetoric of violence and totalitarianism. It is what our enemies do. Cut it the fuck out.
As for Moore being wrong about everything, the fact that he is about the only person who predicted that Trump might actually win in 2016 kind of knocks that over, even if it's the only thing he was ever right about in his entire life. That kind of shreds someone's credibility here, but it's not Moore's.

(22,236 posts)MM is way more of a positive for Democrats than a negative. There is no doubt about that. I think some people get upset with him the second one of his opinions doesn't live up to their own ideals, even if they agree with him about everything else.
although I think it's simply when he disagrees with them on anything.

(42,862 posts)His negativity is divisive and has LONG TERM negative effects. He does NOTHING to promote unity or cohesiveness. He does nothing to promote trust and cooperation. He does, however, PROMOTE HIMSELF.
He has NOTHING positive to offer, only ridicule and that typical "I know better than you" attitude and talking-down to our respected and experienced party leaders. He's as bad as some politicians. Truly divisive with no redeeming value.
What useful purpose does it serve? It's just another example of how people are oddly willing to do and say things that create an atmosphere of fear and hopelessness and negativity. Negativity generates apathy. Apathy discourages voter turnout. Low voter turnout gives Republicans a chance to steal the elections.
