Overnight email from a DOJ official authorized armed federal officers to go to ballot-counting venues.
Local police officers pushed back a crowd outside the Detroit Department of Elections as workers counted ballots on Wednesday.

Barr should be disbarred for what could be argued in court as federal interference, if vote counters complain of that.
