ideology down the throats of all the voters. I saw a lot of DUers lamenting that Biden's win would be so narrow. Just be glad with the win!

(14,572 posts)45 wins a super narrow election losing the popular vote and drawing an inside straight in the EC, and spends four years stomping around like he had a 50 state shut out.
But, because Ds did not win as big as the polls indicated, they have to be OH SO careful to work from the middle ...

We may not be in a position to do that, but if we are, yes, tell them to pound sand if they don't like it. They can even use our sand. It's pre-pounded, so it will be easier on their dainty little fingers.

They shouldn't whine if Joe is installed with a small majority to try to undo some of that crap.

(82,849 posts)Trump loses the popular vote, but squeaks out an electoral college victory, and everything's Republican. Biden wins the popular vote with more than 50% of the votes cast as well as winning the electoral college, and it means nothing. A prospective Biden administration has to reach across the aisle to mollify Republicans or he's totally illegitimate because he's not governing with the consent of the governed.

(2,787 posts)May not be the blowout we wanted, but it's not a nail biter. Ii republican state legislatures didn't set rules were mail in ballots were not allowed to be counted until after all of the same day vote this election wouldn't probably already been called for Biden on Tuesday.
