Pennsylvania’s secretary of state said the commonwealth’s winner could be known as soon as today, and if Joe Biden captures the state, he would win the presidency. Counting continues in Alaska, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina.

While Biden’s campaign has continued to express confidence, President Trump’s reelection campaign attempted to halt vote-counting in Pennsylvania and Michigan, sought a recount in Wisconsin and challenged the handling of ballots in Georgia.

I've seen several people claim this -- including the PA SoS, I believe -- but I'm skeptical. W_HAMILTON Nov 2020 #3
Maybe it's based on the number of outstanding ballots minus ballots received. NurseJackie Nov 2020 #4

They just mentioned that Philly still had so many ballots left to count, and they compared it to what they had gotten through in the past day, and if you use that as an estimate of how long it takes them to get through ballots, it didn't seem like they would be able to finish counting them all by today.

I'll bet they can tell if the ballots still out were originally requested by a registered Democrat or Republican, and make a fairly accurate educated guess what to expect, or if the total number would sway the results once they finally do arrive (if on time.)

As has been mentioned the mail in votes even in Trump counties are coming in at rates of 3-1 and 4-1 Biden. I trust the State supplied numbers over experts on a Reddit thread, which is basically 4Chan Lite.
