The "officer" in Alabama is a CAPTAIN. So he's a supervisor, and he's probably encouraging his subordinates to think and act this way.

Nevertheless, chances are he'll be hailed in his church as a persecuted hero of the faith.

We're about 15 minutes north of Platteville, have many friends there and in surrounding areas. Glad they busted him, but sad to say his attitude isn't rare for this part of the state. Local Republicans do tend to hold a very entitled view of themselves, and getting Democrats elected to councils and boards is difficult and rare. This was farm and ranch country before it became oil/gas country, we're well acquainted with the scent of bovine excrement; it has been said that a desiccated cowpie could get elected as long as it had an "R" appended to it. I'm surprised only that he voiced thoughts that others share but keep to themselves.
