Allen West Calls Upon Generals To Resign, Protest Obama Administration

Allen West Calls Upon Generals To Resign, Protest Obama Administration

In an interview last week with right-wing radio host Mark Levin, Rep. Allen West (R-FL) called for high-ranking military leaders to resign their posts, rather than follow the orders of the Obama administration’s recently announced reorganization of the Armed Forces:

LEVIN: Seems to me, if I'm one of the highest-ranking generals or admiral in the Navy, and so forth, and this was being done to my force structure – that is, to my men and women in uniform, I might think about stepping out. You know what I mean? Moving on to another career and saying, "Why?"

WEST: I absolutely understand what you're saying. And you know I've had a lot of people ask me about that, because the responsibility of our senior generals has to be to the men and women in uniform. And they have to be very careful about blindly following a Commander-in-Chief that really does not have the best intent for our military. And I think that when you understand that President Obama said he was going to fundamentally transform the United States of America, you're seeing him destroy our economy, and now you're seeing him destroy our military capability.

West also added during the conversation: “What you’re saying, and what I’m saying, is that — your silence is consent.”

Maybe it's time to start drug testing members of Congress.

....of an unarmed Iraqi detainee in the hopes he would get "intelligence" from him regarding recent attacks on US troops.

The Iraqi detainee (a policeman) turned out to be innocent, and provided no actionable intelligence. Doh!

He was charged with violations of the UCMJ, but was let off after he agreed to pay a fine and retire early. If I had my way, this utter POS would be sitting in Fort Leavenworth right now instead of the halls of Congress. Had he been an enlisted man instead of an officer, that's probably where he'd be this day.

If Obama is going to slash the military, then some of those people are probably going to lose their jobs anyway, and the ones who would actually listen to Allen West are exactly the ones who should go.

Just as with Bobby, Allen's insane demands of treason on behalf of the military will come back to haunt him during the fall election.

It literally sounds like nails on a chalkboard. You've heard about an actor having a face for radio? Levin has a voice for print. So thankfully, I think less people listen to Levin for the sole reason that he has a screechy, nasal voice that you simply cannot listen to for more than 5 minutes. Whereas Rush Limbaugh sounds (and looks) like a Muppet, so more people can bear that, I guess. Hence the higher ratings.
