...and come back and finish up so that the flip can be called in the morning and all the networks can break into morning coverage with the call.

They are processing about 10,000 per hour and based on the estimates listed of having received something over 350K of them total and then being forced to wait until the polls opened on November 3rd to pre-canvass them, the city reported out 285,967 done at their 6:55 pm EST update (latest), which would leave about 70K (assuming ~350K total to have had to process). So back-of-the-envelope would be about 2 am EST, give or take, to finish that. Plus you have probably many of the counties also still canvassing/reporting their leftover mail-in ballots and few, except for the rim counties around Philly, are actually counting 24/7 like we and our metro area counties are.

For more back-of-the-envelope calcs - IF there were actually 70K or so left, and based on the last 2 updates (3:20 pm EST and 6:55 pm EST), where Biden was getting 80% of them (with 45 getting 19%)... and if that rate holds, then there is a potential 56K for Biden in that remaining pile.

Am thinking another update will be coming in an hour or so.

and they can "only" do about 10,000 or so an hour.

If the state has enough assorted outstanding ballots tallied outside of Philly that could decide it, then it could come earlier.
