PA vote margin now down to 18,229. Latest block was 80% Biden, on par with 70-80% for most absentee ballot counts. With 275k left, Biden will likely win by upper 5 digits in very least, if not 6 digit win later. Please goto bed folks. Bidens got this!Link to tweet

(57,073 posts)That ballots are consistent with polling and, frankly, human behavior (long lines to vote).

(9,952 posts)Such a weight off knowing trump will be gone. Then excitement we are going to have more opportunity with senate is fun. I really think something happened in Florida with machines again and will be interesting when they find all Miami dade ballots in mail. But for now, we got this and trump is out.

(57,073 posts)I just wish there were a way to dislodge lard qss from WH before January!
I'd read that 27% of Miami area votes were not delivered to elections folks for counting.
6 post offices were broken into un Nashville on 11/2 & who knows what, if any, connection, there might be to vote deliveries in these red states.
I sure hope our new admin gets to the bottom of this &, if ratfuckery can be proven, that new elections for senate & hpuse seats are held.

(57,073 posts)But perhaps, as a result, different machines maybe. I don't know enough about the process of ratfuckery & protection measures, but I bet something is fundamentally different.

(128,944 posts)And I bet that those Democrats in deep red districts who rarely voted or didn't bother voting due to having to do it "in person" (running into MAGats), then they might have decided to go on and vote by mail, which is nice and anonymous.
We also have suburbanites around the urban areas who are completely disgusted by what has gone on the past 4 years. The BLM protests that WERE (and people must DEAL WITH THIS) mostly WHITE should have been a clue of something rumbling under the surface. And those protests actually happeed in rural villages and small exburban towns too. THAT was truly an eye-opening and heartening thing for me to see.
I really believe that this mail-in option will ultimately increase our turnout in general here in PA!

(57,073 posts)Ty for explaining!
Are you implying that people in PA read and think *on purpose?*
You joke! {Borat voice}
But this appeared to be the case in many states, no?
Something is not right in may places around the country.
Even here in red TN, there were #s published about #1 voting issue (covid) & how people felt about direction of country.
I think it was 58% felt wrong direction.
Not sure what vote % was, but it did not go to Joe & Kamala.
And and I realize real logic does not translate into actiob, but something is very off.
Perhaps those 6 post office robberies in Nashville on 11/2 have something to do with all of this.

(128,944 posts)Yes you might have your ag folks and the coal folks vs the "city/urban" folks, but people basically minded their own business and enjoyed the diverse regions and flora and fauna AND history of this state.
But this in-your-face, loss-of-decorum crap, was initiated from the addled brain of a NATIVE Pennsylvanian - NEWT GINGRICH. And that brought Raygun deregulation and the blanketing of the state with RW AM talk radio, leading to the rise of the teabaggers in 2010.
At that point, your average PA "Republican" (see William (Bill) Scranton, John Heinz, Dick Thornburgh, Tom Ridge), were deprecated. They were generally moderate and although annoying with their policies, at least DISCUSSED "policy". With the teabagger movement, the GOP devolved into a name-calling, race-baiting, xenophobic, homophobic, antisemitic, bunch of loons. They used Tom Corbett and ALEC to transition this state into a hotbed of hyperpartisanship, but fortunately Corbett, along with Rick Santorum, were BOTH shown the door post haste, although the damage was done and paved the way for Donald Trump (who does own properties in the state and even attempted to bid on one of Philly's casino licenses (but that was rejected).
I think that is why many GOPers went on and became indies and if not, they have been doing more ticket-splitting.

This lack of decorum, lack of policies, etc. sinnce dump is just revolting, imo.

(26,044 posts)The poll average for PA on election morning was for a 4.9% final margin. That should have translated to a difference of around 300,000 votes. As it is, it will come to a third of that or less. It seems like we're seeing what has been consistent since Tuesday: with the notable exception of FL, most results have been somewhere within the standard polling error of 3%, but always favoring Republicans.
