I guess I am just too sick and tired of trying to winnow a few nuggets of truth from

a sea of bullshit to give anyone in charge of counting votes any benefit of the doubt.

Yes, I understand that there are extensions of time for military votes and---depending on the state---ballots mailed no later than election day and there are "grace periods" within which to cure challenged or provisional votes, BUT,---every thing else should be counted by now. And, it is not.

We are sitting on a keg of gunpowder while Trump and his enablers are tossing lighted matches at us. I believe that ending this uncertainty as quickly as possible would extinguish many matches and, damn it, justifies whatever overtime expense it would necessitate! It really burned to hear that Maricopa County, Arizona was sending their vote counters home every night because "it's technical work" and they do it "in stages"! Is this some sort of bad joke?

Delay serves the interest of Trump and his crew of thugs who are casting about for---or, in the process of manufacturing---SOME reason to invalidate the election and keep him in the White House and out of prison.

Count the damn votes! I earnestly believe a prompt resolution of this clusterfuck will save lives.

There was a freaking bomb threat near the counting center in PA.

There are a lot of provisional ballots in several states that won't follow the established patterns.

Is it over? Yeah, almost certainly, but how about we just let the process play out?

I would rather have solid results, carefully achieved, than shaky results that could be credibly challenged. The wait is excruciating, and the actions of the nutso faction truly frightening, but our results need to be unassailable and not able to be successfully challenged.

too. Some people can be very inpatient. Let the counting continue leave no vote behind. Plus alot of these states never expected a huge turnout of voters. I bet it's overwhelming for those who are counting. These people are working very hard.

But I don't trust tRump at all.

It should be 24/7 counting and reporting. No excuses or delays. It needs to be unequivocally said that Joe Biden WILL BE our next president.

they seem to take a lot of breaks, declare that they will update and then don't, etc. PA was hamstrung by Repubs wanting them to delay mail-in ballot counting until after Election Day, and they've been working nonstop since then. The longer NV/AZ keeps prolonging the count, the more you have to wonder what the agenda is there.

I have been around poll workers (my wife is one) and election folk for about 15 years. They take their job VERY seriously, and place great store in the integrity of the count. These people are WAY more trustworthy than they are given credit for.

of chicanery, judges defer to people who have been counting votes for years, over politicians who barely know how to count. Certainly, their are exceptions, Bush v. Gore being one.

While I understand why states in the past have not wanted to count mail in ballots before the election, it's time they change to allow processing as ballots come in.

That will take state legislative action. If Florida can do it, why not others?

It's getting to the point of a mad hatter's tea party
I especially suffer agita when that Mr. Gloria from Nevada comes on. What is it, their minute in the sun? Jesus, just count the goddam votes and stop your little appearances every few hours.

And yes, Biden has WON Arizona. Enough of that bullshit. Fox called it on election night.
And yes,, Biden has WON PA.

Call it.

beheading our trustworthy and beloved Dr. Fauci, and given that tRump cult members have been easily provoked to violence, and even murder these last 4 years, we could be potentially sitting on a keg of gunpowder as you say.

I'm wondering, now that cities and towns have boarded over store windows and there's been a bomb threat in Philadelphia, whether the announcement of Biden as the winner is being put off until there are more safety measures in place across the country to quell any violent activity the moment it begins.

I may be completely off base here but it seems like something that would have been discussed and planned for given the nature of the current president and his devoted minions.
