3. It's huge. But a pyrrhic victory. And, it's fragile.

I was hoping for a landslide as millions of others were. The truth hurts. This is not the America I grew up in.

...and one party and their president are still working every day to evicerate the principles and laws which distinguish our form of government from dictatorships and authoritarian regimes around the globe.

Donald Trump has revealed deep corruption within the republican party for all to see... if this was a NATO ally we'd be talking sanctions and more against his violent display of autocracy toward our population.

5. We can't stop working if we are to save this country from the clutches of fascism

Otherwise another Trumper will pick up where Trump let off in four years, and/or even Trumpers will do whatever they can to continue sabotaging this country.

6. This old man is tired. I've been fighting for 40 years.

While I think this hard-fought victory literally saved our democracy, I weep for this nation. Willful ignorance abounds. It will take decades to repair the damage that's been done to this country. Some of it it may be irreparable. But, I agree, the fight must go on.
