General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsJust thinking out loud. I've spent the day busy, just checked in, shocked we are still in this weird
limbo.
We have some news sources that have Arizona called.
We have some saying Nevada is a no brainer and should be called.
We have the vote going in one good direction in PA - and that should be called (but would end the drama).
So - we know who owns the news organizations (all Repub, I presume).
We know who is flailing away threatening who knows what behind the scenes, frothing up his supporters (hoping that it doesn't lead to violence).
We know they know the strategy that worked for them in 2000.
Is this for ratings? Is this strong arm tactics by the sure to lose administration? Is this the typical bowing down to trump (has he ever NOT gotten his way in his life)?
All I know is that it stinks - and for the good (and safety) of the country, this shit has to stop and we need to move on with a new president and vice president.
I've paid little attention throughout the day - so if any of this is far off base, tell me. But....holy shit. Enough.

(62,287 posts)The valid vote will be certified.
And even states not Dem controlled, heavily Republican controlled (AZ, GA), will certify their votes for the sense of vote integrity. The election officials spend their whole lives doing this shit. They believe in the process, even if they lose. That's why winning GA and AZ is so important. They took their loss, gracefully, and with pride. This is Democracy. We win.

(115,681 posts)Don't call winner until all the votes are counted.
Maybe but probably not.

(22,292 posts)Still counting. In consideration of that insanity from last night, they do not need to have to retract anything. The Secretaries of State in each of these states will have the definitive answers. It is driving me nuts, but I want them to be right.
