The M$M can call the race for Biden ***AND*** the votes continued to be counted like usual, these margins aren't "tight" this thing is done.
The M$M is enabling America's child abusing racist president and his minions by dragging this thing out and not moving on.
That's NOT the right thing to do, we're wasting time and media coverage on a done deal vs covering the horrid CV19 outbreak nationwide and pin pointing hotspots.
The media as a whole bet not say shit about anything Biden does ... not a damn thang.
Sick of em, the M$M should do the right thing for America

(60,334 posts)The Media is trying to redeem themselves from previous bad calls and are shy from repeating it.
Also, they love the sensationalism of this pending decision.

It looks like Biden has won, this looks just like naked opportunism ... I'm moving on to GA senate race.
We need those two seats

Maybe the GOP observers are slowing things down by disputing some ballots - I say let them. Because when we do win they cant say we didnt let them observe.
And, the media also love the sensationalism.
I am okay with waiting because it will be worth the wait.
I have no patience in my life, normally. But right now for this huge win I have infinite patience.

(18,486 posts)The media "calling" the race has no legal or actual import. The count is the count and the results are not final until the count is completed and the results are certified. The media projection is simply something that satisfies the public, but it actually means nothing. It is a conclusion they draw based on the information they have and that they're presenting. They report the numbers they have and then tell us when they think those numbers mean that one or another candidate will definitely win - hence the term "projection."
That's why I'm both amazed and amused by people spinning themselves into butter because the press - whom they normally insist can't be trusted and are nothing more than babbling idiots - haven't announced who THEY think the winner is. If based on the numbers the media have and are reporting, you think that Biden will win, why not just make your own projection? Why is it necessary for Steve Kornacki to tell you the MSNBC Decision Desk thinks those numbers mean that Biden will win before you draw your own conclusion?

(62,270 posts)It is crazy to me how the media isn't just making their case, simply stating, clearly, and without doubt, how the numbers are going one way.
But this is unprecedented that the loser doesn't concede (though it is known to happen with populists). So the media doesn't know what the hell to do.
Just do it.
