My baby brother is about to have emergency cancer surgery in a Texas hospital thats overrun with Covid.

(102,276 posts)cancer patients, so try to keep that in mind. I have gone from ER to ICU to surgical and cancer floors and though everyone is doing the right things in the hospitals I've worked in/observed (granted only in CO, but my colleagues tell me similar across the country), the latter has the extra peer-surveillance activated that will come down on you like a nuclear bomb if you break infection control technique.
