For a speech to be ...great.., it does not have to be long...

Lincoln's Gettysburg Address...232 words....This speech by Biden was great..

The only part where he lost the audience was when he talked about cooperation. I know that was a sop to the Repubs, and likely was a wasted effort. It put a chill on the audience for a moment, but good for him for bothering to extend the respect. A lesser man would not have bothered. He may want to clarify that wanting cooperation does not mean DEMS will be 'reaching across the aisle' but that MITCH needs to get over himself.

Also, I want to have these speeches outside forever more. Car horns and fireworks are way too cool to give up. Beats the heck out of balloons every time.

Whether they bothered to hear it or not is up in the air. I hope Biden does have a big stick ready to go behind those calm and uplifting words.

..so refreshing to hear someone who is positive, uplifting--we can now exhale in a sigh of relief that el mal sombra [trump wirh his endlessname calling, racist dog whistles, hate propaganda and endless lies] has been lifted and in its place--truth honesty, decency and compassion.

He's listing all these groups, Latinos, blacks, native Americans and then everybody thanks god and the bible tells us. Not very inclusive of religious or nonreligious freedom. Just saying.
