I milled around smiling all day yesterday.
At a campground on a lake.
In a dry county so made my way to the county line for alcohol.
4 tall boys with cheers for every drink (to Joe, to Kamala, to Democrats, to BLUE, to DU... and so on) and a BUNCH of weed...

I slept like a damn baby - on the ground. Didn't matter. Pretty sure I smiled while snoring!!

Cheers!
And GOOD MORNING!!

of night again. Gonna take awhile to get back to normal. Fortunately I’m retired so no big deal, I can sleep when I want. Sorry for those working stiffs who’ve suffered the last few days, but I think everyone will be sleeping better now.

In spite of all the crap the rethugs have pulled we’ve managed to carry the election. Personally I believe there’d have been a huge blue wave if the rethugs didn’t do everything in their power to corrupt the election. The fact that we still won must scare the hell out of them.

Make no mistake, I can knock off a bottle of wine in a NY minute... but I never drink on back to back days. I have had celebratory champagne for four solid days this week, and slept like a log.

Wine with friends at dinner Friday night, champagne for the victory speech last night. My body tells me I’m not in my 20s anymore, and I’m happy to listen. I’ll be alcohol free..till Thanksgiving.

because I normally sleep fairly well. The big improvement was how quickly I went to sleep (the glass of champagne could have helped), the fact that I stayed asleep (something I usually don’t do if I’m stressed or if I’ve had a drink before bed), and when I woke up, I didn’t immediately feel my body tense up as my mind flipped to, “OMG..what could have happened while I was asleep?” THAT was the true miracle for me..not running anxiously to my phone to check the news.

Our neighbor gifted us this bottle, so it was already on hand. It was cheap and funky, but good for a toast. If we had not had it, I think we would have gone for the single-malt.

I kept waking up thinking of Four Seasons Total Landscaping and laughing.

Conveniently located at Exit 30 with nearby parking, crematorium, sex toy store and check cashing. Not to mention mulch and compost! Bring your own manure (bullshit).

i just keep . I may need professional help.

Otherwise I slept fine.

I woke up when Clyburn was on Wondering how I could have done that. Turned off the TV and went straight back to sleep. Something I haven't done in, uhm, oh, 4 years.

DST is the worst and we need to get rid of it. Between Covid and Trump being a petulant baby, our efforts to get rid of DST once and for all here in Illinois got derailed. Hopefully, soon we can get back to it and I won’t get woken up at 5:30 every single damn morning after Halloween!
