Try to justify that with anything that remotely makes sense.

As much as looking at the map with everything colored in gives a sense that it's a wasteland of red we can't forget that there are a LOT of people in those states who are NOT Trump loving republicans:

5.2 million in Florida
5.2 million in Texas
2.6 million in North Carolina
2.5 million in Ohio
1.2 million in Indiana
1.1 million in South Carolina

right down to the folks who might feel lonely in places like Idaho, the Dakotas and the other deeply red states, we know you're out there and now the country's got your backs.
