More Questions Arise about Soldier who Promoted Ron Paul in Uniform, Has Arrest Record

Last edited Mon Jan 9, 2012, 11:54 PM - Edit history (1)

on edit, wanted to add the link is to some Breitbart Website, although the person who wrote it is not .

Court records show that Thorsen was arrested in Lee County, Fla., in December 2004 for three felonies: burglary, theft of a firearm and possession of burglary tools. Details were not available late Thursday.

He pleaded guilty to all three charges the following July but adjudication was withheld, meaning he would have no record. He was sentenced to probation and ordered to pay $660.50 He made regular payments through April 2006 totaling $630.50 but then stopped, the records show. In May 2006, he was ruled in violation of his probation and was arrested three weeks later in Tampa, spending three days in jail. In August 2006, he appeared before a judge in Lee County, who reinstated his probation. His probation ended in March 2007.

Thorsen originally seemed to confirm a statement by a CNN reporter during a live interview that he was an active soldier who had served two tours abroad in Afghanistan and that he was gearing up for a third.

Since then, Big Government has learned that Thorsen is not active duty, but actually in the Army Reserve, and that he has only served one tour abroad, not two. Despite his claim that he is on his way to serving another tour, Pentagon sources say that no orders have actually come through for Thorsen and that he’s currently being probed within his own unit.

The real questions about Thorsen that may provide answers have not yet been asked; what is Thorsen’s real agenda and what is his actual political philosophy? Does his ‘9-11-2001–Remember,’ tattoo mean that he is just a patriot–or possibly a 9/11 Truther? The answers to these questions will tell us more about Thorsen’s true agenda than his service record–or his arrest record.

because harassed recruiters took anything to meet unrealistic goals. Some recruiters committed suicide trying to reach their quotas.

Why hasn't he gone before his commander for an Article 15? I feel sure that would've been the minimum during my time in service. No politics in uniform-no politcal bumper stickers on cars with a base pass, period. And making a public appearance in BDUs instead of a Class A uniform is questionable.

I assume you did not realize that Big Government is run by Andrew Breitbart and is the same site that gave us James O'Keefe. We may not like Ron Paul but that does not mean we should be promoting sleeze on this site, Breitbart is probably the least credible source in America.

Not the most reliable.

Adam Kokesh was stripped of his Honorable Discharge in 2007 for wearing his uniform to an anti-war protest.

In May 2007, a hearing was convened to consider changing Kokesh's military discharge from "honorable" to "other than honorable" on two points: "Disrespect toward a Superior Commissioned Officer," and violating "Wearing of the uniform" regulation.[10][11] The panel recommended Kokesh be given a "general discharge under honorable conditions,"[12] a discharge status below "honorable," and above "other than honorable".[13] Kokesh appealed the decision, and was denied.

I am no fan of Ron Paul by any means, but if there is one person who disgust me more than Ron Paul it is Andrew Breitbart. Biggovernment.com is run by Andrew Breitbart, James O'Keefe also works for them. No matter how much we dislike Ron Paul there is no way in hell we should be posting Breitbart trash on this site as if it were credible.
