So how did the Four Seasons fiasco happen?

I'm wild-ass guessing that some aide was told to book the Four Seasons and wasn't thinking. In which case he or she is out of a job.

Or maybe the aide did it on purpose. Wishful thinking.

I'd really really really like to find out how this happened. Just out of simple curiosity, y'unnerstand...

Is it was held there because it was one of the only Trump supporter heavy areas.

I suppose given a few days John King could math that out with his touch boards.

I must say, I'm skeptical. Since we're talking about the same group who couldn't find the light switches when they moved into the WH.

Ha!

It looks to be a very industrial/supply part of the area with few residences nearby. If there's a adult store there it means it's also not very, um, trafficked. Those folks in the floppy hats and long trench coats don't like to be seen. It's also very telling that the Trumpsters are familiar with the nature of the site.

Good for the owners if that's true! They made history!

Best troll ever!

There was a photo of the interior of the porn shop posted earlier...

I was looking at some of the 'mood enhancers' hanging on the wall. I looked at them for a few minutes trying to figure out how they were applied in practice. Thought about asking around for clarification. Oh, MY!

Thought the better of it... I'm a simple person. Two people hook up and get jiggy. End of story. I will maintain my natural innocence and naivete.

So, much happier that way.

What might have been a simple address mix-up/15 minute Twitter joke turned into so much more. They had to pretend they MEANT to have a press conference in a parking lot of a landscape business next to a sex shop, because they couldn't admit a mistake. Just so fucking bizarre.

once they realized their mistake, in a city that size--why not Republican Party HQ or a Trump-friendly restaurant, or a park as you say, or a home of a Repub official? Fucking bonkers that they went through with it. It's jaw-droppingly hilarious.

They were fools to go through with it, they should have had reporters come to the nearest public park and held it there. They looked like idiots in that ratty place.

Just elevated the whole thing to absolute absurdity, no one was going to absorb the content of the presser (not that it contained anything but stupid shit anyway).

In reality, the mistake was not in the booking, but in a garbled game of telephone. Mr. Giuliani and the Trump campaign adviser Corey Lewandowski told the president on Saturday morning their intended location for the news conference and he misunderstood, assuming it was an upscale hotel, according to multiple people familiar with the matter.

But the campaign had always intended to hold the news conference in a friendlier part of town. The president’s team had struggled with news conferences in this Democratic stronghold all week. Since Wednesday, the streets outside of the Convention Center have been filled with pro-Biden protesters chanting, “Count every vote!” On multiple occasions, the Trump campaign surrogates were drowned out and surrounded by the much larger pro-Biden crowd.

Earlier this week, Pam Bondi, the former attorney general of Florida, and Mr. Lewandowski attempted to hold a celebratory news conference after obtaining a favorable court order in Pennsylvania. But a local D.J. blasting Beyoncé completely overpowered Ms. Bondi, who was forced to simply hold up the order as most of the media gathered nearby could not hear her speaking.

It's a ludicrous claim, and the New York Times should not honor it with minimum plausibility.

that the press conference was originally planned to be held at the Four Seasons Hotel, in mid-town Philly, but someone forgot to make arrangements with Four Seasons. It was too late to cancel the invitations but there was time to modify them, so there was a scramble to find another "Four Seasons" in Philadelphia, and claim that that location was what was intended from the beginning.
