(296,859 posts)They've threatened to "leave the USA and move to Hawaii", too.
I responded.. We are the USA & We're BLUE!
I like this Canadian guy.. he really lays it out well why magats aren't wanted in Canada.. "Don't even come here on your way to Alaska!" Rofl
I hope they don'f infest your beautiful islands!
Or Canada.
Haha not even on your way to Alaska!
Ps- I would chip in to crowd fund magats one-way to Russia BUT they would have to give up citizenship first, permanently!
Cha
(296,859 posts)russian than Dems.. so they got themselves brainwashed real good!
I responded.. then move to russia.. we're patriots.

(5,518 posts)That is warm enough for a top-down convertible in a t-shirt right now?
This might be someone just channeling what Canadians are thinking. Correctly I might add.

(15,533 posts)I live 20 minutes from the border and we got up to 73o and sunny today. Many with convertibles driving around with the tops down.

(50,163 posts)the proof is obvious, he didn't say "please" stay the fuck away and he didn't preface any of his statements with "sorry". Definite tells!
Cha
(296,859 posts)are nice but this needs to be said" lol
And, I was listening for a tinge of an accent and I heard it! lo
Aloha, Spazito!
Congratulations on the overwhelmingly, beautifully blue your wonderful Hawaiian Islands are after this election!
Yes, I'm pretty sure he is Canadian, he's said what many, many, many, many Canadians are saying, with or without the "please", lol. Among decided voters in Canada, 84% would have voted with Biden, only 16% for trump (we have a fringe group of trumpeters here too).
Cha
(296,859 posts)I just love Canadians & Canada! They're funny & talented, too. I see some Canadian shows on Amazon Prime and they really know how to keep me interested.
We have our little fringe bunch of magats in Hawaii, too.. trump got more votes this time than he did when Hillary beat him last time.
It's unfathomable to me but here we are.
Thank Goodness for all the 75 Million in strategic states who Did Voted for Joe Biden!!!!

(50,163 posts)waiting, waiting, waiting for the call. Even my adult children, who normally roll their eyes when I go on my political rants, were on pins and needles and both called me to talk about it right after the call was finally made.
Needless to say, they both were ecstatic Biden/Harris won!
Cha
(296,859 posts)Spazito.. my adult kids & Grandkids who voted were the same!

(50,163 posts)No drawl, no twang, no NY Bronx accent ergo has to be one of us! Not a Maritimer or a Newfie, though, no accent again, lol.
You do make an excellent point about "eh", eh!
Cha
(296,859 posts)I say he's Canadian!

(67,782 posts)....when I used to travel for work, if I spent a week in the South I'd come home with a slight tinge of a southern drawl. If I spent a week in Chicago I'd pick up their accent (don't know how to describe it) etc. I was born in Brooklyn but worked hard to get rid of my accent by the time I was 20, but my wife says when I have a beer or two the ol' Brooklyn accent comes out.
But I DO like his sentiment though!

(63,221 posts)They transfer in from the Toronto office and I haven't noticed an accent on any of them either, at least nothing noticeable. They are all from the Toronto area, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

(1,648 posts)Maybe it is time for tRUMP supporters to grow the fuck up and begin acting like respectable human beings for a Goddamned change.
If they prove that they can conduct themselves like reasonable ADULTS instead of selfish juvenile delinquent brats going forward for long while, then maybe their fellow human beings on Earth won't treat them like a dysfunctional curse that needs scorned.

(11,514 posts)Just out of curiosity I looked into it a while ago. I MIGHT be able to because I have technical degrees, but there are still a lot of hoops to jump through. The average tRumpster with no education, NO WAY.

(67,782 posts)....that would benefit their economy or lifestyle.
Most of my family (mother's side) lives in Ontario, so I probably could have worked something out to be allowed in legally by having one vouch for me regardless of my education/profession (I was an engineer* before retiring).
As it turns out, when we lost our mother nine years ago, going over paperwork and other documents we learned that there's an obscure law that was passed in the late 1940s. Anyone who has at least one Canadian parent, is automatically a Canadian citizen if born after 1947. I was born in 1948, so I'm a Canadian citizen even though born in Brooklyn. I can move up there anytime I want, but being 72 that's a huge life change.
*even though degreed from a top US engineering school, I couldn't simply work as an engineer up in Canada. I would have to go through the qualification steps to become licensed to practice engineering.

(82,383 posts)It's hilarious. They insist immigrants come to the USA LEGALLY. So why do they assume they can LEGALLY move into any other country?

(10,885 posts)We might not want tRump, but I'd hate to ruin our relationships with others by sending him where we want to maintain cordiality.
tRump will end up being that ugly vase that everyone regifts every Christmas, to the point where he becomes the country's joke. Yes, l'il donnie, we're laughing AT you.
