He says that There’ll be other people like Trump in the future, maybe not in his lifetime who will be a lot smarter, more sensitive, more mercurial and not so boorish and will be able to pull the wool over the eyes of the public.

The part where he is wrong at is when he says maybe not in his lifetime. That person exist today and will be part of the 2024 field...take your pick (Nikki Haley, Tom cotton, josh Hayley, etc...)

If we can get media on that track then by next election, we will have effectively made the election a referendum on freedom in America.

Because stupid is clearly part of the appeal of Trump. Act smart, and you're one of those nasty "elites". Trump is genuinely an idiot, with his only real talent being great at manipulating authoritarian-craving personalities.

We'd already be in a shitload more trouble if Trump had been intelligent, and that's definitely what we need to worry about in the next one that comes along.
