The Secretary of Defense and the Pentagon staff do not command troops. The chain-of-command runs from POTUS to the unified combatant commanders. The combatant command responsible for all forces in the continental US is USNORTHCOM.
I am confident General VanHerck will not obey unlawful orders from tRump to attempt to undo the election.

Sudden, unexplained, "total decapitation of civilian leadership" 70 days before the end suggests it may be about something planned for the near future.
Something is afoot!
