... he's far right in his political views, but I'm of the opinion that we view creative works stand alone. Otherwise we're on a really slippery slope. We'd have to get rid of Picasso's paintings and the works of Plato (pedophilia).

Picasso or Plato.

I simply placed his art in context to his very offensive written views. I stopped reading Dilbert about 15 years ago when it pretty much stopped being funny and began repeating itself.

At best, most mainstream comic strips have about 20 years in them, if they are written and drawn by a true genius. True geniuses also get out of the biz before becoming tedious (See, Breathed, Larson, Watterson). Non-mainstream strips can last longer because they go places a syndicated strip generally isn't allowed to go.

Adams is WAY past his "sell by" date.

I have to think his strips are not satire but an expression of hate for all humanity.

Oh well.

C is a characteristic of A.
C is a characteristic of B.
Therefore A is B.

People who are wrong don't admit that they're wrong.
You won't admit that you're wrong.
Therefore you're wrong.

Hitler was an atheist. (He wasn't really.)
Hitler was evil.
Therefore atheists are evil.

Hitler was a vegetarian. (He was.)
Hitler was evil.
Therefore vegetarians are evil.

All men are mortal.
Socrates is a man.
Therefore all men are Socrates.

Back in those innocent days of early 2016, Adams explained HOW Trump works.

Specifically, 2 things:

1. the purpose of his stupid fucking "nicknames" that he gave to everyone. they stick in your head. the 1st thing you think when you heard "Hillary" was "Crooked", because he said it relentlessly.

2. how he took control of the GOP by "pacing and leading" on the Birtherism horseshit. Trump didn't START that; he took it over and became it's leading spokesman.

It was the clearest explanation I've seen that Trump was NOT sui generis; that he is an unscrupulous Con Man first, and he was trained in using language to accomplish his goals.

But what soured me on Adams (years after I gave up on Dilbert) was is admiration for Trump since, and his constant trolling with his blog.
