(7,356 posts)Missing your point, I guess.
Is this a Falwell-type post saying stricken states deserve it?

(51,308 posts)I lived in Florida for 25 years. Hurricanes and tropical storms are to be expected.
We didnt even take the lawn furniture in until it was a Cat 3.
MOMFUDSKI
(5,763 posts)and your lawn furniture comment is HYSTERICAL! lol lol lol But, yes, we are way more laid back here than most everywhere else. I will admit I woke up Wednesday morning to hear it is now a CAT 1 and it turned toward Tampa Bay and said "WHA?" to the walls. But all OK. Just want to know how many hurricanes until Christmas.

(51,308 posts)Most of my friends still live in FL (aside to OP, all Dems).
I cant take credit for the lawn furniture joke. Remember 2005? That was a meme going around, along with the hurricane of the month thing. We had one a month that year.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. The flood threat continues into Friday after record-breaking rainfall caused historic flooding in Charlotte and across the Carolinas Thursday.
Waterways remain swollen as rainfall from across the region works its way downstream.
Officially Charlotte recorded 4.80" of rain Thursday at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. While that alone was enough to shattered the daily record, unofficial observations show rainfall totals of over 8 inches near Harrisburg and Uptown Charlotte.

Not rejoicing about global warming either, but this OP is just too effing funny. He seems to have skedaddled lol.

(9,287 posts)and certainly mean no disrespect to you or the folks in your state. I stayed at Kill Devil Hills 2 years ago and loved the coast and your beleaguered gov.

Youre not the snarky one. I really dislike posts against regions, which is what this hit and run newbie has done. Wonder what magnificent state he lives in...that never suffers calamity?
No worries with you; I didnt take your post to be snarky at all.

(51,308 posts)And our stupid Dem senate candidate fucked his girlfriend, himself, and us.
I voted for him, but were still not a red state. Probably the OP might not realize there are TWO Carolinas. Ive seen that here before, sadly.
But yeah, thats exactly what hes doing - a la Falwell.

(26,179 posts)The OP is just so not needed right now.

(51,308 posts)This seems to be a hit and run OP youve got here, but so you know, NC has a Dem governor. Did ya know that?
Also, my dogs and I had a blast today playing on our favorite trails and wading through creeks that are usually just trickles. I wore my Wellies, and they went swimming. See, this kind of thing doesnt faze us in the least.
In fact, we went out for three walks to two different parks and trails just to see how high the tide was!
Ive got pics of my puppers frolicking in the water if youd like to see them. It was fun. Tomorrow, well be out on the lake in the canoe.
Oh, and bless your heart sugar.
