The press must do a few things, and quickly.

1. It must pursue interviews with Republican politicians.

2. In any interview, the subject must be asked these two questions:

a. "Do you support any kind of staging of a coup by Trump?"

b. "If you do not support any kind of coup, would you contact the appropriate authorities if you witnessed or heard of any plans for a coup?"


This issue must be dealt with straight-on. Republicans have been too quiet for too long. Someone will have to break the ice. It must be broken.

tell the potential faithless electors that 75 million of us will organize a 24/7 operation that not one of them will ever be able to leave their homes again for the rest of their lives without a minimum of 100 of us SCREAMING in their faces.

It will be legal what we will do and you will NEVER have peace again.

We will follow you to the store and when you get out to buy your groceries all 100 or more of us will SCREAM at you and this will not stop for the REST of your miserable fucking life.

2. I think that the electoral college should be pressured to pay attention. But...

practically speaking, any attempt by any state to send a different set of electors to the EC would not be kept private. This is a touchy situation that would explode very quickly. Any governor and/or legislature that gets behind a scheme like this will not fare well. So, while it's fun to imagine the ultimatum, there likely isn't a situation in which it would transpire.
