(5,443 posts)will go along, even though it is unconstitutional believing that because he appointed 3 of the members they will replay the favor.

(19,564 posts)He might (maybe) hide, but he's not resigning. It's bad for his brand, and his kids wouldn't permit him to do such. They're also the Trump brand after all.

(6,544 posts)But you didn't say how far before. I think it will be at the last minute so he can get Pence to pardon him and so he can escape before the inauguration. Between the American justice system the Russian debt repayment, he has a lot to run from. He'll want to get a head start. We'll have little to no advence notice.

(26,076 posts)I think he will pardon his family, his cabinet, some friends, and finally, himself.

(2,273 posts)Barr or one of his supreme court appointees will tell him that although self pardon is questionable, a Mike Pence pardon is bulletproof.
Of course, they will fail to tell Hair Fuhrer that the pardon doesn't cover state crimes...NY will still go after him.

(300 posts)I won't be surprised by anything that happens since we are dealing with Trump. He is most certainly full of internal conflicts, divided between his hopeless ego-driven desires to overturn the election in his favor and punish his many "enemies," and the more realistic need to save his own skin and minimize damage to himself. He has better control over his fate if he does resign, as that will possibly enable him to strike deals. His ego and vindictiveness may not permit that, however.

(10,198 posts)in the US. Hes not going to want to take the heat. Hell hide out of course, but his days of getting softball questions from the press are over. Every time he sticks his head up hell be reminded of how bad hes fucked things up. He certainly will never take responsibility but he might start realizing there could be consequences. So he might get Pence to pardon him and come up with some self serving excuse to bail out. Hes always been a loser. Its always smoke and mirrors for him.
