Tubby McTraitor will let all his pals, hacks, co-conspirators go freely. Count on that.

Will wait until the last minute to see what he can extract in favors or cash from those being pardoned.

3. Don't pardons backfire on Trump?

Once he pardons a co-conspiring criminal, they can then be forced to testify against Trump himself (the one person he can't pardon), without being able to plead the Fifth?

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2017/06/02/if-youre-pardoned-can-you-be-compelled-to-testify-about-your-crime/

From article:

A friend of mine asked me this question, so I researched it; the answer, turns out, is yes: A person may refuse to testify, even when subpoenaed, on the grounds that the testimony may expose him to criminal liability. But if the prospect of criminal liability disappears — whether because he has been granted adequate immunity by prosecutors, or because he has accepted a presidential pardon — then the privilege against self-incrimination also disappears. “f the witness has already received a pardon, he cannot longer set up his privilege, since he stands with respect to such offence as if it had never been committed.” Brown v. Walker (1895); see also, e.g., Nixon v. Sampson (D.D.C. 1975) (yes, that Nixon). (Remember that, as with President Richard Nixon, a pardon can preclude future criminal prosecutions, and not just erase past ones.)

Trump resigns (he won’t, but..).
Pence DOESN’T pardon Trump cuz’ he deeply hates that guy!

God, I love to be him for that.

Article too about presumptive pardons. Which have wide latitude. It also says that it is unclear if presidents can pardon themselves.

To me, what would be tricky for him would be how to phrase it. That is without him exposing where he *thinks* he is indeed guilty. Can a pardon just be broad "any federal crimes potentially committed since he was born"?

And furthermore, regardless of whether he pardons himself or if pence does it, wouldn't that do exactly what he's so good at, dragging things out in court? Say he issues a funky pardon, and federal prosecutors want to indict him. He would proffer the pardon and then someone would have to sue him for declaring a false pardon. See that as lasting years in court and eventually to SC. By that time, he'll be running again and in his sick mind will avoid it all over again as sitting president.

9. He'll be selling pardons for sure

I think anyone who can pony up a million bucks will get a pardon. I don't think Trump gives a fuck what their crime is. Look for some high profile names as well as those connected to Trump.

This is how Trump thinks: if he can find a thousand people to give him a million dollars for a pardon, he can pull in a billion dollars.

I'm not being sarcastic. I'm thinking like a trump.

And just in case selling pardons is illegal, he'll save the last one for himself.
