Rep.-elect Marjorie Taylor Greene, supporter of QAnon, denounces House mask requirement

Newly elected House lawmakers arrived on Capitol Hill this week for freshman orientation. And one with a reputation for spreading conspiracy theories objected to being made to wear a mask inside the Capitol.

“Our first session of New Member Orientation covered COVID in Congress. Masks, masks, masks,” Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican congresswoman-elect from Georgia, tweeted early Friday afternoon. “I proudly told my freshman class that masks are oppressive.”

“In GA, we work out, shop, go to restaurants, go to work, and school without masks,” Greene continued. “My body, my choice.”

She concluded her tweet with the hashtag “#FreeYourFace.”

Where I live in Georgia, we do wear masks. Of course I live in a reality based, blue county where we believe in science.

She might find her office in the basement with inconsequential committee asignments. I doubt she'll continue her maskless foolishness.

Or it might have been Kentucky. But I am sure it wasn't Georgia. Also, the Clampetts and Bodines were smarter than Marjorie Taylor Greene. Please don't insult them by comparing them to her.

They were Ozarks not appalachians. Where this woman is from is just lower tennessee. I love the Clampetts too but my point is that redneck woman is sticking out in DC the way the clampetts stuck out in Beverly Hills. She might as well be asking for possum and dumplings at the fancy eating table.

ETA I think they may have been actually Missouri though. The tv show doesn't say but the movie said Arkansas, but that isn't cannon and was probably just a Clinton joke. I think Missouri because of that season when they went to silver dollar city, that was in Missouri.

Look on road maps of those states for Bugtussle. Whichever state Bugtussle is in, that's where the Clampetts and Bodines are from.

Their silliness has gotten out of hand, and should not be tolerated.

I know, they will make a big stink.

Let them.

If their tantrum is not over this, it will be about something else.
