But I fail to understand why these people didn't figure it out when the disaster was slamming NYC. Did they think the horrible footage on television was faked?

Quite frankly, I am underwhelmed by the sufferig gping on in South Daota. I feel bad for the people who truly understood, but given their goddamned governor and the failure on the part of the majority to do anything about it, I prefer to expend my sympathy elsewhere.
