DU, prepare yourselves. I feel MSM will hang on to, and cover, every word Trump utters after Jan. 20

73 million voted for Trump, so they'll rationalize there's a sizeable audience out there who still wants to hear from him. Plus, Jan. 21 starts the countdown to 2024 (which most here agree is a grift and won't happen in the end for a host of reasons). More horse race. More airtime with talking heads disecting all of it. More viewers glued. More ad revenue. It never ends.

Trump is like crack to them. Plus, until he is put in the ground, he...just...won't...shut...up. Even if NY charges come to pass (I'm convinced he will weasel out of Federal charges), he'll be right back in the headlines. Didn't Trump once say that any publicity is good publicity?

It'll take the powers of Zen to tune him out.

Hope I'm wrong and his LACK of coverage sends him to total irrelevancy.

If Twitter had banned him 4 years ago, Chump would be gone already. It's insane and monstrous what he has gotten away with, and the MSM has mostly supported him all the way.

She was "relevant" through 2014-2015 before the shine came off of her star...and he burned less brightly than Orange Anus for them...

Trump is around until he dies and THAT will get ridiculous coverage too. Hopefully very soon.

In fact, I'm hopeful that Biden/Harris/Dem House and possibly Sentae set the pace and message and Trump falls away.

But before long he'll run out of material and will become boring to everyone but the most brainwashed MAGAts. Even Fox will get tired of him. Media coverage is determined by how many people watch and therefore see the ads they've sold. If the cable shows aren't making money because people aren't watching their coverage of Trump blathering the same old bullshit, pretty soon we won't see much of him.

Policy.

I will continue to ignore him as I did during his 4 years as pResident*.

I never joined his twitter feed but I did read his facebook posts. And I trashed every one of them that I could. Sometimes I think they were moderated or something because I couldn’t seem to post them. There was red line around the comment, and I would get a warning that the comment could not be posted.

but I kind of doubt it. I think the MSM is really sick to death of Trump and welcome a time when they can focus elsewhere. Meanwhile, if enough of us switch the channel when he becomes the story, I'm sure they'll get the message. Well, unless the story is about his failing businesses and lawsuits against him. That would still be worthwhile news.

With Trump, however, you never know. I've never seen anyone bounce back against the odds over and over again. I'm prepared for anything.

It's not in their best interest. They could have done it in Dumbya's last years but they didn't. They chose to give the GOP CPR. They sell their product better when there is controversy and dissension between the parties.

He will continue to be the fruits of their reward. My guess is they will ride the “Will he run in 2024 vs. Will he wind up in jail” approach for as long as they can.

When reading tweets. Whenever Trump’s name is mentioned in some news report, the screen shot on the Late Show displays “T****”, and Colbert reads “the president” or “He” or “his” depending on the context, instead of Trump’s actual name.

He did it all last week.

Trump saying that any news is good news doesn't make it so. Sometimes bad news is just bad news. We all remember learning about people like Hitler and Stalin, Trump will likewise be remembered.
