The Red Cult's Lizzie Syndrome.

All this Covid denial reminds me of a character plot from Walking Dead. It involved a young girl that refused to believe the virus that was killing people and turning them into zombies was a bad thing. Carol, the matriarch found her "playing" with a zombie. And the last straw was when Lizzie killed her sister to show Carol that her sister would not really die, because she would reanimate. Next, she was going for the baby to prove her point.

I use to think that was a situation that could never happen. That we all would recognize when we were dealing with a life threatening situation that could alter the human species forever. I stand corrected.
