1. You imagine that you can have the traditional Big Family Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers and nobody will contract Covid.
2. You imagine that you can sit down to feast on turkey, ham, the multitude of side dishes and three different types of pies and calories don't count. As a matter of fact, you lose weight.

(4,165 posts)It's only about a 90 minute drive for anyone. WhoooHooo!
I have been worried about this because they are all R's.
So we will have a small dinner and I will breath a sigh of relief.

(7,308 posts)We always travel to Maryland to visit the in-laws at Thanksgiving and Christmas. They are in their 90's. Not this year, though at their age it could always be the last. But not this year. Just us at home. 6 of us. Three humans and 3 cats!

(5,810 posts)Cinderfella and myself. The rest of our family will join in via Zoom, FaceTime Live or Skype. It pains me that it has to be that way but they work and get exposed to various pathogens every day. I just hope that none of them are Covid. There is no way for them to self isolate for 14 days before a get together, so through the miracle of social media, well join hearts (if not hands) for the holidays this year. It will be one well remember forever but thank goodness well be alive to tell the tale of the Great Pandemic Holiday Season of 2020.
