Presidents have too much power. @SenMikeLee is trying to change that. @bopinion https://bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2020-11-17/presidential-power-should-be-curbed-by-congress?sref=XcONO5zf
Four years of Trump violating norms and two months before Biden's sworn in , now he's worried about it?

(25,988 posts)Dontcha just love the IOKIYAR syndrome? It's okay if you're a Republican! The moment a Democrat is in power, suddenly all of the previously ignored norms and rules mean something again. It's been around a very long time. It's not going away any time soon.
Biden, Harris, and most Democratic congresscritters expect it and are ready for it.
But man, it's annoying as hell.

(31,261 posts)ancestral lands, was ordered by the a Supreme Court to not carry out the removal in the terms that he intended. He ignored the Court. When he came into office, Trump put a bust of Jackson in prominent display in the Oval Office. Then Trump went on to repeatedly ignore Congress and side-step Court rulings against him, and republicans did nothing. So, Biden can take the route that Trump took and dare republicans in Congress and the Court to do anything about his moves.

(32,940 posts)Idgaf what republicans think. You can not trust a syllable they speak. They aided the degradation of democracy. They need to go away. They should be ridiculed. They are not now nor will they be anytime soon the arbitrator of anything moral.
