Presidents daughter asked her why would you tell me to read a book about poor people?Donald Trumps daughter was obsessed with status and used to blame classmates for her infractions of school rules while projecting a refined persona, Lysandra Ohrstrom, who was a maid of honour at her wedding, claimed in Vanity Fair.
She had the Trump radar for status, money, and power, and her dads instinct to throw others under the bus to save herself, alleged Ohrstrom, who described Ivanka, 39, as her best friend growing up.
In the most scathing passage, Ohrstrom claimed that in their mid-20s she recommended to her friend the book Empire Falls, a Pulitzer prize-winning novel by Richard Russo about working-class characters in a small town in Maine.
Ly, why would you tell me to read a book about fucking poor people? I remember Ivanka saying, she wrote. What part of you thinks I would be interested in this?

(15,381 posts)Ivanka is the most like her father - obsessed with wealth and status, and she has political ambitions of her own - particularly becoming the first woman president. I wouldn't doubt that like her father being mocked by Obama spurred him into running for president, her embarrassing herself at the G20 Summit (which she'll blame on others), will motivate her to run so she can "show them all."

(130,865 posts)'In the Before Before Timesa.k.a. how I'm now referring to the period before the 2016 presidential electionformer first daughter Chelsea Clinton and current presidential advisor Ivanka Trump were friends.
While People reports their friendship had been "largely private," the two were spotted at Glamour's Women of the Year awards in 2014, and in a 2015 Vogue profile of Ivanka, Chelsea was quoted as saying, "Theres nothing skin-deep about Ivanka."
That friendship then seemed to fizzle after their parents, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, entered into a contentious campaign against each other, even though both women made comments suggesting they wanted their friendship to continue after the race. In March 2018, Chelsea told Stephen Colbert she had not spoken to Ivanka "in a long time."'>>>

(46,083 posts)The article in "Vanity Fair" almost confirms my belief that Trump directed Ivanka to get the plastic surgery for his benefit more than hers. (Asking if Ivanka was the prettiest girl in her class/school)

She's only 39??? I thought she was closer to 45.
"Empire Falls" is a good novel, and worth the read, BTW. Princess Ivanka is a moron.
