think that Law Enforcement, IE, Michigan State Police would just stand by and allow this to happen?
Just how long would the FBI's HRT stand by and allow executions to go on?

These terrorists aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer are they.

“alleged militia”. Even though the plot is alleged, I think they are an “alleged” militia.

They are not what the Constitution meant as a “well regulated” militia.

I don't care if there were 200 of those terrorists, if they want to invade the capitol building, there's no way the Army or Air Force or any part of the military would not deal with
them. Harshly. These idiots live in a fantasy world and I hope they get to experience it in prison.

it would have been either the Michigan State Police or the FBI's HRT or both that would root them out, and they are quite capable of taking these terrorists down.

other person on Trump's hit list.

The FBI made some (pre-emptive?) arrests the week before the election. I truly think they have been on the ball. But it's probably like whack-a-mole: if they miss just one nutjob, it could be a problem.

That these people would even consider a week long series of televised executions of public officials is beyond my comprehension. As much as I dislike Trump and his crew I've never even come close to envisioning executing them.

How do we deal with people who would do something beyond our comprehension?

Especially when the hysteria was about wearing masks to save lives, for god's sake. Yes, I'm sure the list of misdeeds go beyond mandating masks and closing bars, but ...

Nope, I'm going outside to rake some leaves or cut some grasses and hope that my brain will move beyond these people.

I suspect that there is very little that is surprising to many Americans. It's simply one shitshow after another, and all too soon the mind becomes numb. I have friends in the US who have said they just avoid TV or radio newscasts because it's all too, too depressing and upsetting.

How many others are like them? We on the northern border are horrified by it all -- just as much as you all are here.

By proxy the GOP wants the civil war carried out. What have they done that is so sinister & despicable, that they would go to such lengths to overturn an election. Hmmmm.
