Anti-masker Karen gets arrested at Costco. This Costco is in Eureka, California.
"Really? Because one person..."
No, dummy, not because of one person, because of millions of Covidiots like you is why!

(3,748 posts)Didn't she see the viral video of the other antimasker who got kicked out and his membership taken away? I hope they revoke her membership too.

(3,932 posts)I think that is standard policy. I worked at Costco for a couple of years.

(1,426 posts)trundling along, mask under his chin. I went in the other direction, quickly.
Saw a young man at the drugstore today, with nose dangling out over his mask.
I should report them to management.

(3,748 posts)Rule. I won't shop at a place where they don't enforce masks.

(40,302 posts)The owners get to make the rules, not you.
If they tell you to wear a mask or leave, well - there you go!
There's nothing to discuss here.

(4,064 posts)Back then cops rounded up people and they were forcibly vaccinated, often against their will. But the good of society outweighed the liberty of the individuals. Thank God, Smallpox was eradicated. The Karens of the day either died from the pox or got vaccinated - no in between.

(27,995 posts)We have a mask mandate in our city and Walgreens has a sign by the front door requiring masks to enter.
I asked the cashier why they don't reinforce masks and she said, "we're told not to, for our own safety."

(19,956 posts)about everywhere now. And there are signs up at the entrances of all the stores.
If someone tries to go in without one they are just trying to start trouble.

(28,655 posts)..."Members and guests must wear a face mask that covers their mouth and nose at all times." (Bolding mine)
My husband recently spoke up to the mom of a young teenage male in Trader Joe's (where mask compliance is usually quite high), and pointed out that he had his mask under his chin. The smartass kids replied, "The sign only says you have to have a mask on to come in to the store. It doesn't say anything about after you are inside." My husband responded, "Use your brain." The mom then said, "That was rude. Let me do the parenting."
Had she been doing the parenting and made sure her little jerk had his mask on properly, mu husband would not have had any reason to speak out.
(I wish I had been there to see this.)

(13,903 posts)When I've spoken to such people, they always have that knowing, almost drunken smile when they say something stupid that they think is clever. I wish they could do a brain scan on one of these covid-deniers
when they make these illogical arguments to see what areas light up, or dim down.
