Ohrstrom was Ivankas childhood friend and a maid of honor in her wedding to Jared Kushner. But as the two women grew older, they grew apart as Ohrstrom became horrified by her friends snobbery and complicity in Donald Trumps presidency. In a new essay for Vanity Fair, Ohrstrom chronicles her friendship with Ivanka from their days as middle schoolers at Chapin, a posh all-girls school on Manhattans Upper East Side.

One of the earliest memories I have of Ivanka from before we were friends is when she blamed a fart on an insecure classmate.

(26,045 posts)It seems clear Donnie was at least emotionally abused by Old Man Trump, and it's clear that, as so often happens, abuse gets passed down generation by generation. There are accounts that Don, Jr. was even more abused (one of his frat brothers testified that Cheetolini slapped Junior around in full view of the brothers there for the "crime" of wanting to attend a Yankees game in a jersey rather than a business suit), and not it seems the younger Trump has become every bit the sociopath his dad is. Should anyone expect that his "number one daughter," (who, it would seem, was at least the subliminal recipient of what may have been a whole different kind of abuse from her father) would somehow emerge unscathed?
