(52,227 posts)If the system is functioning properly, all a higher court would do would be to reverse the dismissal and therefore order the lower court to actually consider the case.
Which doesn't help donnie in any way.
However, if they think the higher court is corrupt, they could be hoping for a very unusual break with standard practice in their favor....

team cheated, the refs were bias, the scoreboard didn't work when
we scored either, the public know we are the real winners of the game,
and they're the losers, they lost, I won, now they should hand over
the trophy to us.
