I needed a list like this. Sharing this thread here in case you did, too.

Let's start a list of things trump has exposed that we need to fix:
1. Cable TV news-bring back fairness doctrine?
2. Background checks for ALL candidates running?
3. Mandatory tax returns shared with public?
4. 5 independent doctors do periodic exams, results shared publicly?

1. That Senate majority leader cannot hold up votes

next time we get the Senate
No more filibusters
Executive branch ignoring court orders has a penalty
Start move to eliminate EC
Require assets in blind trusts for POTUS, maybe Senators
Allow 25th amendment procedure to start in another branch

3. Oh shit, how about elections that resemble something like a democracy?

I'd love to not have to pay for my elections either, through the necessity of donating money to candidates. I'll do it, if I can, but c'mon, it shouldn't be about the money.

This is a GREAT time to make sure there is a system for verified vote counting!!!! Like paper trail, every time, everywhere.

9. The Fairness doctrine was for BROADCAST media

It was not for cable. And does anyone think this SCOTUS would let a fairness doctrine stand? I mean it would be nice and all, but I think it is untenable.

16. Medical should be private.

Imagine what an opposing party would do if a president was diagnosed with borderline diabetes, let alone something more serious or embarrassing. "The president has a rash the shape of a camera on the head of his dick." "We're going to wait and see what develops".

Every American deserves such privacy, including the pres.

17. Mandatory Qualification Standards
Sun Nov 22, 2020, 06:38 PM
Nov 2020

All presidential candidates should be screened to ensure they are capable of, and committed to, doing the job. Before they run even one campaign ad, they should be required to meet a set of universally applied qualification standards for things like education, management experience, legislative acumen, etc. Multiple ongoing lawsuits should be a red flag and thorougly investigated. Tax returns for the past 10 years should be mandatory.

All presidential candidates' career and personal history should demonstrate integrity, character, and a continuing participation in public service, such as military service, patient care, or as an elected official. These traits should be be exhibited in their business and personal life.

They should also serve a one year probation period, during which they can be terminated by special election if deemed to not be performing up to expectations. Then the candidate who came in second would take the helm.

As it is now, housekeepers in the federal government undergo more stringent qualification screening and background investigation than presidential candidates. That needs to stop NOW.

I dont know about everyone else, but I'm sick and tired of feeling like a passenger in a 747 flying at 35 000 ft with a 3yr old at the controls. Our country and all of us deserve better. We all know it. Now we need to take steps to ensure this never happens again.
