I talked to Republican Michigan Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey today. He said this: 'Wayne County didn't determine the outcome for the presidential race in Michigan. It was Kent County and Oakland County that did.'

Shirkey confirms to @AP Trump talked about Mich. election results with GOP delegation. He says at 1 point, Trump got Giuliani to call in & Giuliani repeated the Wayne County allegations he had raised in a news conference last Thursday. Shirkey says meeting was 'innocuous'

Shirkey: 'There was no...asking for anything, other than understanding how does Michigan's law work. Once Speaker Chatfield & I made it abundantly clear that our laws are very specific, very clear, no room for ambiguity, basically that was the end of the conversation...'

Shirkey said he was in his workshop taking off his hunting clothes last Wednesday when Trump called to invite him to the White House. “You get the president of the United States calling you on your personal phone and he asks you to come visit him, I'm going. I don't care who is."

Shirkey estimated that in the 60- to 90-minute meeting with Trump, 'less than half' was devoted to discussions on the election - 'especially if you take out the dialogue we had with Giuliani, it was far less than that.'

"I don't care who is."

I would answer the phone, establish it was Trump, then hang up.

Winning MI.. that Kent & Oakland had more Votes for Biden than Wayne?

Like "Scaramucci" became a thing for measuring time (e.g. tRump has less than 6 Scaramucci's left).

The don never says anything that will get him in trouble, but the "guys" all know what's being said. So how come the one guy obviously had planned on voting 'no' and only at the end found himself having to simply abstain instead. At least that certainly was what it looked and sounded like.

Trump has zero clout. No political capital. No sway or persuasive power. He's a nobody.

Trump measures his worth in power, appearance, and clout. He has none of that now.
