After four years it feels a little disconcerting to remember that, oh yeah, the government is supposed to be on the people's side, not the autocrats'.

I hadn't dared to let myself really get happy and comfortable with the idea that yes, Trump is leaving for real, and that after the shitshow that was and is 2020, something actually really wonderful and liberating happened on Election Day.

Announcements like these are going to be the norm (except for the part about how the information wouldn't have been hidden in the first place). It's amazing!

I realized this morning that I've been carrying a ton of anxiety in my body. It is beginning to ebb away.

Great feeling.

And it will be even better when some Grand Juries are convened to look into some of this crap. Maybe a Special Counsel.

I actually caught myself sighing when I watch the news and hear of the new cabinet, etc. It is a sigh of relief. I will expect it to be even greater come Jan. 20th. I haven't felt this calm in 4+ years when I watch and read the news. I forgot how it felt.

Republican state/federal legislators. Let the public see who benefited from monies that should have gone to small businesses.

These asshats have assumed they can break any law and the magical pardons will let them walk away free and clear.

I'd love to find a way to block that path and watch the looks on their faces.....

Looks like a whole lot of investigations coming up for Biden's AG to work on, and as others have said, it will will most likely include republicans in the House and Senate as well donors and trumps family.

It will get released, but crank up the pressure immediately on getting this into the House for review and investigation.

There was a shitload of money spent.....where did it go to and how did they spend it? Start hiring RICO lawyers for the incoming DOJ jobs.

six months (or some interval of time that was supposed to go by before these were made public)...I always wondered why in the hell was that set up this way (hidden names of those receiving payments)...I suspect that there is going to be quite a few surprises including believe it or not, multiple trump entities receiving these payments plus entities favorable to trump too (his buddies/friends). A giant grab for all, money wise.

As a small business owner, we got a PPP loan and it covered salaries and rent for two months. If I hadn't gotten it, I would have had to lay employees off and let the state take care of them. But we're talking 5 people, and what I considered a reasonable amount of money, $16K, not millions!!!!

Yes, it helped keep us afloat.

That’s what the law was intended to do. As you know, in many cases, that’s not how these Federal funds were used.

I have 4 employees I was able to keep this summer with our PPP. We used the entire PPP for employee wages. I am grateful for the program. I am not grateful to learn that so many abused it.

For the Honda dealership she is manager of. She worked her ass off, only so many loans were given and she was so happy when bank called her to say she got one.

She put in a ton of overtime which she already works 10 hr days, but did so to keep employees paid during those first months when everything was closed.

She told me few days ago she had a bunch more reports to fill out to see if they don't have to repay loan. I said I hope you get something for this and she said if it works she gets a huge bonus.

But knowing her she would have done it for her employees anyway.

She feels really bad though a few small businesses she goes to didn't get one because they didn't know how to fill it out, like place that does her nails.

I can imagine why Trump & Co. wouldn't want it out there but at the outset of the program, before any shenanigans took place, who would write into the rules that records of borrowers be kept private?
