Here's The Beauty Of Biden's Cabinet Picks So Far

As supremely qualified as most of them are, they have an added benefit. Mitch McConnell will have a lot of explaining to do if he refuses to confirm them. Why? Because most of them have ALREADY been confirmed in some capacity. John Kerry was Secretary of State. That means the Senate ALREADY vetted him and confirmed him. Janet Yellen ran the Fed, which means she too has already been vetted and confirmed. Blinken and most of the others have already been vetted and confirmed as well.

Now, that was by a different Senate, but it sets forth an argument that they were all vetted and confirmed ONCE, therefore there's absolutely no reason why they shouldn't be NOW, other than McConnell being a douche. It may not stop McConnell from trying to block them all, but it hopefully will force him to have to answer the question, "If they were qualified before, why are they NOT now?" And we all know the answer is, "Because President Biden nominated them," but he won't be able to say that. It may even force his hand.

Then again, if we can get these 2 Georgia Senate seats, Mitch McConnell's opinion won't be worth a hill of beans anyway, but it's nice to know that Joe is thinking of strategic ways to get around McConnell already, and he's not even President yet.

Now I want Joe to nominate an absolute SHARK as his Attorney General. One who will mercilessly prosecute all the Republican wrongdoing that's been running rampant over the last 4 years. Then Joe's cabinet will be an upper-decker, tape measure, home run shot.

the acting designation if he has to. The precedent already has been set, and this gives him a free hand to choose exactly whomever he wants (if they accept).

...can't do it for a whole term. And if you try, even for Trump. the judicial branch will/did weigh in. Not saying, don't go there, just saying understand you have to face the Senate sooner or later. I like the "Win GA, F McConnell" line but reality has a way of rearing its ugly head.

Would make him an obvious douche. So he should get infuriated feedback from the voters. We voted for who we wanted for president and of course we want him to have a cabinet

Kentucky. That’s a big reason why he can get away with all that he does. It won’t matter if 98% of Americans hate him if the few million people in Kentucky like him.

He is signaling his future lack of his willingness to work with the new President. He is not going to change.

He has to try to manage the imploding GOP, andhe has to try and maintain GOP power in Congress.

Things don't look that good for the GOP. Some of their base is even turning on them. If Georgia comes through, McConnel is hamstrung.
I'm hoping for VP Harris to spend a lot of time in her role as President of The Senate.

than do Repubs. But Dems will need to get their messaging straight and work hard to flip more seats.
